Dyfed Chimneys is a small family-based team who offer experience, knowledge, a wide range of skills and a personal, friendly service.

Background

Emily’s father has worked in the stove and fireplace industry since 1992 and Emily showed an interest and began learning the trade at 14. Emily qualified as an APICS chimney sweep and started Cinnabar Sweep in 2012, meanwhile Mike ran a property maintenance business specialising in all aspects of chimneys. Mike and Emily together formed Dyfed Chimneys. Emily is NVQ qualified, has been involved in training chimney sweeps and is a member of the steering committee for APICS. Mike is a HETAS qualified installer with a wide skill set and high standards of workmanship.

Today

Dyfed Chimneys provides rural west Wales with quality services for flue installation, chimney sweeping and servicing, inspections, fire surround and hearths, bee removal and chimney solutions. Dyfed Chimneys works closely with Cinnabar Stoves run by Emily’s father, offering high quality wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves. With over 30 years experience, Peter can give excellent advice on which stove would suit you best.

Emily’s experience gained through 15 years of inspecting and sweeping locally has given much insight, she has too often discovered problems due to poor installation workmanship or the use of cheap materials. Mike and Emily have developed ways of operating to ensure strict and efficient adherence to current industry standards which provide the best results for customers. They take great pride in what they do and have gained a reputation for high standards and excellent customer service.

In addition to Emily, Mike and Peter, the Dyfed Chimneys team includes:
Chris – Mike’s brother, a qualified APICS chimney sweep.
Harry – Skilled labourer and installer.
Claire – Office administrator and customer services.
Linda – Peter’s wife, administration and customer services.
Emilie – Trainee chimney sweep.
