WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“Mike and his team fitted a multifuel burner at my cottage. They had a can-do attitude and left my lounge very tidy. They stuck closely to covid regulations. I'm toasty in front of my fire now.”

Stove Supplier FAQs

  • Will you inspect my chimney first?
Yes, this is the very important first step so that we can assess the suitability of your existing flue and fireplace. The flue must be cleaned before it is lined. Using a chimney camera, we will inspect the inside of the flue to ensure it is sound, that there are no breaches into other flues or timbers which would pose a fire risk, and that the flue will be wide enough to take the flue liner. We will take all the measurements neccesary and also provide you with a report. We can provide this service for other installation companies too.
  • Will I need a flue liner?
We'll be able to tell you when we have carried out a chimney inspection, but it will be most likely.
  • What if I don't have a chimney?
If there is no existing chimney, we can install stainless steel flue systems. The flue systems come in silver, black or grey. They can be exposed or we can build a false chimney breast to give the effect of a traditional fireplace. We will make a site visit to assess your area and determine the best location to site your stove so that the flue works optimally. The location of the stove and flue is essential, if it is installed in a poor location, the flue will not fuction well, it may cause a smoke nusiance to you or your neighbours, and you will not get the full benefit of your stove. It is best to involve us as early as possible in the design stage so we can advise you for best performance.
  • How do I choose a stove?
Following an inspection, we will help you choose the best stove for your home. There are a lot of factors involved, including the suitablity of the chimney and fireplace itself, the area to be heated, and the type of fuel you intend to use. Choosing the right stove is important to ensure the stove burns efficiently, with low impact to the environment.
  • Can you create my fireplace too?
Yes, we will undertake the building work to create a fireplace opening, as well as supply and fit hearths and fire surrounds. We primarily work with slate and sandstone for hearths and fire surrounds, as well as a range of wood effect non-combustible beams.
